Mindful Coding Solutions is the culmination of 40 years of education and experience.
In 1981, it all began with this simple home computer. The Texas Instruments TI-99/4a.
This computer didn't come with BASIC. It was a cartridge that you had to load. With that, and various computer programming magazines, we got to try writing code with GOTO and GOSUB statements for the first time.
With our Atari, we got to write in Atari BASIC, which was still line-numbered code with PEEK and POKE statements and began calling our first Bulletin Board Systems (BBSs) with a 300 baud modem. Also played a lot of Alternate Reality: The Dungeon.
We switched to Commodore BASIC and were writing the same line-numbered code, but with SYS commands as well and continued calling ANSI Bulletin Board Systems (BBSs) with our 1200 baud modem.

The Mindful Coding Solutions logo is in it’s 2nd iteration right now (revised in 2019). We wanted to communicate some key elements about our brand that may not be completely obvious, so here are those easter eggs!
The part “coding solutions” is purposefully written in 8-bit font. This is a shout out to all those of us who began programming way back in the 80s when there was only 64k RAM to create software. We are so spoiled today with gigabytes of RAM to code with.
Another major part of the logo can be seen where the green and blue meet. This is an illustration of the “dhyana mudra”
Mudras are used within yoga and meditation practice as a means of moving, controlling and sealing prana within the body. Dhyana mudra is specifically used to deepen concentration and guide the practitioner towards inner peace and equanimity.
