Website Design
After we’ve found out “why” we’re building a website, it’s time to design it. In the design phase, we need to address some of the basic starting points.
Colors: Typically the brand will have one, two, or three colors that make up their base. Creating a color swatch can help to predefine colors that are complimentary and contrasting colors for elements like “Calls To Action”. After a brand has designed a logo, usually some of these colors can be chosen based on that.
Content: This is made of the copy (writing), images, and videos, etc. It is also the most important piece of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Layout: What pages does the website need? Where do the assets lay and how do they look in different containers?
Function: This is really an overview of the entire purpose of the website. Is it used to: gather leads, allow visitors to purchase products online, or is it just purely informational?
