Website Design and Development
You might look at these two terms and believe they are one and the same. Actually they are two parts of the same process. The first question you should ask before either of those is “do I need a website?”
Chances are, if you’re trying to market a business, then the answer is “yes”. It is at that point that you should be asking what kind of website you need.
The reasons to build a website are many, and the approaches to get to your finished product are even more abundant. Mindful Coding Solutions specializes in helping you determine the “why” and then we can explore the options available for both the design of the website and the tools to build it.
After we’ve found out “why” we’re building a website, it’s time to design it. In the design phase, we need to address some of the basic starting points.
Colors: Typically the brand will have one, two, or three colors that make up their base. Creating a color swatch can help to predefine colors that are complimentary and contrasting colors for elements like “Calls To Action”. After a brand has designed a logo, usually some of these colors can be chosen based on that.
Content: This is made of the copy (writing), images, and videos, etc. It is also the most important piece of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Layout: What pages does the website need? Where do the assets lay and how do they look in different containers?
Function: This is really an overview of the entire purpose of the website. Is it used to: gather leads, allow visitors to purchase products online, or is it just purely informational?
I’m sure you’ve heard this term before, but perhaps you don’t know what it actually means.
Now that we have the “Internet of Things”, a website is likely viewed by hundreds, if not thousands, of types of devices and web browsers.
In order to give the user the best experience possible, a well-designed responsive website will be easily readable and functional on a desktop computer, tablet, or mobile phone. This has been the standard since early 2010 and has only become more important as more devices and web browsers are loading your website. We make sure that the experience is seamless.
