Why I’m not running another discount this May — and what I’m doing instead.

Here’s an honest admission: my last promotion didn’t work. A 10% referral bonus and 10% off the last month sounded reasonable on paper, but it landed flat. Nobody bit. And looking back, I understand why.

A referral fee asks you to do unpaid work for a reward you might collect months from now. A discount on month four is a discount you have to earn by first committing to months one, two, and three. The fine details

A few things worth being upfront about: all recurring services have a 3-month minimum and are non-refundable. For SEO, I can guarantee a change in your search rankings, but not in your profits. For paid advertising, I can guarantee leads, but not profits. (Anyone who guarantees profits before they’ve seen the inside of your business is selling you something — and I’d rather you trust me than impress you.)

The bundle bonuses are added at signing and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or different services.
